Born and raised in Texas, Stephanie has hung her hat in the Austin area for the last 15 or so years. After receiving her BFA, Stephanie forwent the proverbial European travels and took the bus all over the U.S.A. For the next two months on the Greyhound, she became fascinated with portable living. Airstreams, vintage trailers, beat up roadside signs and dilapidated buildings caught her attention and after a few years she finally embraced her love for objects that had a past - a sordid one preferably. With an appreciation and ability for modern design as well, Stephanie has gravitated towards a more illustrative approach to her work; successfully blending the kitsch and her modern sensibilities together.

Stephanie has been a studio artist since 1999 concentrating her efforts in painting & design. She just finished renovations on the vintage travel trailer she now calls her studio in East Austin. The space in which the studio resides is providing Stephanie a solid home base for her art and affording her the opportunity to be closer to the creative community. Her studio mates are Ryan McKerley and Lisa Crowder, both well respected and collected artists throughout the USA.
